Bosphorus and Rumeli Hisari

The Bosphorus Strait is the narrow strip of water that divides Istanbul in two, and also marks the border between Europe and Asia.  In case you have forgotten, Istanbul is the only city that is located on two continents.

The old fortress, Rumeli Hisari (just down the street from our primary campus),
used to control the Bosphorus Strait.  Built between 1451 and 1452.
